Our Family’s Suggestions
Fisherman’s Bar in Portmagee, specifically their seafood platter, and jumping into Kenmare Bay at Parknasilla are two of Aoife’s recommendations for someone’s first (or repeat!) trip to South Kerry.
Killarney National Park - including Ross Castle, Muskross House and Abbey, and Torc Waterfall. Dale and Jeff particularly enjoyed the horse and carriage ride through the park!

Dublin
As the capital of Ireland, there is no shortage of things to do in Dublin. Head to the Guinness storehouse, Trinity College, St. Stephen’s Green, Phoenix Park or the many museums Dublin has to offer. A little outside the city, the Wicklow Mountains National Park are well worth a visit, including the Powerscourt Estate and Glendalough. The daily flights from Dublin down to Kerry Airport make it easy to spend ample time sightseeing in Dublin before heading down to Kerry for the wedding.
Galway
Approximately 2.5 hours from Dublin & 1 hour from Shannon - make your drive through the Burren and then explore all Galway has to offer - notable for its food, nightlife, and culture. Connemara and the Aran Islands are popular day trips from Galway City.
